Mid-Autumn Festival with Doraville Community Seniors

On September 14, 2022, CCFA co-sponsored a luncheon for Doraville seniors in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival with the partnership of the Atlanta Drama Club, the City of Doraville, and some individual performers.

Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival celebrated in Chinese culture. The festival is held on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunisolar calendar with a full moon at night. On this day, the Chinese believe that the Moon is at its brightest and fullest size, coinciding with harvest time in the middle of Autumn. The festival celebrates three fundamental concepts that are closely connected - gathering, thanksgiving, and praying.

Thank you to Doraville Community Seniors, CCFA volunteers Fonda Yonglidianto, performers of the Atlanta Drama Club, solo singer Koray Liu, Master Wang with the TaiChi Team, Teacher Ma and the Chinese Orchestra Group, and the City of Doraville.
